Rogue is definitely one of the most popular characters in
X-Men. The sexy, sassy Southern belle is gifted with one of the strongest
powers in the mutant world – her ability to absorb energy, memories, and powers
from other mutants and human beings by just a mere touch of her hand.
Luckily, she also has one of the simplest costumes in the
group, so you won’t have a lot of problems if you decide to dress up as her to
your Halloween or costume party. Do keep in mind though that Rogue’s outfit is
very skin-tight, so a good physique will help wonders to pull off this look.

Step 1: Rogue
wears a green and yellow one-piece body suit, which can be hard to find in most
stores. The easy way to get the suit right is to buy a green, long-sleeved body
suit or unitard and use spray paint to create the yellow parts.
Download a picture of Rogue from the Internet to make sure
you will get the colors right. The yellow parts of the costume are in the
middle of the suit. Draw a line on the fabric, from the neck down to the middle
of the pants and inner thighs.
Cover the side parts of the body suit with newspaper and
color the middle part using yellow spray paint. Be very careful with this so
the suit will have even colors on both sides.
Step 2: The
costume requires you to wear yellow gloves and yellow thigh-high boots. If you
are having a hard time looking for these, you can simply buy white ones and use
the spray paint to make it yellow. Put one green stripe on each boot, right
under the knee part. You can use green marker for this.
Step 3: Rogue wears
a brown belt around her waist. You can just use an old belt, which you hang a
bit loose and low on the waist. Paint the buckle red using spray paint.
Step 4: The most
striking part of the costume is the hair. Rogue has curly red hair, with her
front locks streaked white. For a more natural look, color your hair red using
temporary dye and apply streaks of white on the front. Choose hair colors that can be easily washed
in the shower.
To get her carefree-looking mane, put your hair in braids
the night before the party. Make sure to do this while your hair is still
slightly wet. Get the braids out in the morning and tease your hair using your
fingers.
Step 5: Complete
the look with a khaki, military-style jacket. Just get one from a surplus store
and you’re all set. Just roll up the sleeves up to your elbows and you now have
Rogue’s signature style. Apply burgundy lipstick on your lips and you’re all
set.
And don't forget, Star Costumes has tons of great superhero
costumes if you want to go as someone else.ngne yourself using easurements, then you can of the same style.
